INTRODUCTION TO SWSSO

sustainable Welfare Social Services Organization (SWSSO) is an independent, Non-Political- Non for Profit and Non- Government Organization. Established with an aim to deliver welfare services, build peace, promote democracy and human rights in order to ensure a peaceful, progressive and empowered society where fundamental Human rights are equally ensured through cooperative and participatory approaches, the organization is fully committed to the principle honesty, integrity and fair play in the delivery of services to the public. SWSSO was established in 2009 and has started worked to promote Democracy and build peace, fight against corruption, Promote Human Rights, eradicate injustice and ensure Gender Equality. For many years this organization has been working for the welfare of the people of urban and rural suburb areas of East Region & other neglected areas of Afghanistan with the financial assistance of Donors, endowment fund and on a self-help basis, keeping in view the need to continue welfare services. SWSSO was registered under the voluntary social welfare agencies registration number 2843 on 20th March 2013. SWSSO enjoys a rich experience of working in the diverse socio-cultural environment and extensive networking with the district & provincial Governments, civil society institutions, and media. SWSSO has qualified, experienced and devoted professional staff who can oversee and implement the projects at the target areas. It has an office equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and tools for running its project and daily operations, which is used for the projects as a working base. It has the overwhelming support of local people and acceptance as a representative of the common people in the target area, which plays a great role in the successful completion of the projects.  SWSSO is a staunch believer in very strong and efficient service delivery. For this purpose, SWSSO management has always delivered services in the communities in a transparent manner taking care of quantity and quality. It is only because of this very reason that the SWSSO interventions have always helped in meeting the community needs and achieving the desired objectives. SWSSO has been operating in the eastern region since its inception back in 2009, it has good relations with communities, government officials, influential peoples, local elders, and religious elders. All these have greatly contributed to the successful implementation of any project SWSSO has undertaken until the moment in the eastern region without any security issues to its staff, to the project beneficiaries and other stakeholders. SWSSO is counting on its experience, good relations, acceptance, and support of the local and government officials in the Country.

SWSSO enhance youth Advocacy skills.

Youths are the backbone of every society and are development drivers. the purpose of raising capacity building of youth in advocacy skills is to identify community problems, address the problems to concern authorities and stakeholders, also know about their own and community rights and struggle for protection of their rights, thus it is the raising capacity in sphere of advocacy that is quite important on the basis of the reason that most people in Afghanistan have no basic rights like education, health care, women rights

Election Awareness and Democracy Promoting.

SWSSO encourage civic and political engagement of Afghan citizens to actively participate in electoral processes through capacitating provincial CSOs and activists to provide voter and civic education outreach and materials to Afghan citizens as well as enable CSOs to represent the needs and interests of Afghan citizens and communities to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Peace building.

SWSSO Inform people know that peace is the only option, and create a sense of ownership pf peace process among the people, creating a sense of unity and coherence in communities to stand up against the local conflicts

Fight Against Corruption,

SWSSO fight against corruption in east Afghanistan through capacity building training, Advocacy meetings, Advocacy posters distributions, Community Mobilization, raising awareness through workshops to civil society activists, CSO’s, community elders, youths, women-led organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.

Women Empowerment and Elimination of Violence Against Women.

SWSSO empowers women in Eastern Afghanistan Through capacity building in leadership and Management, advocacy skills enhancement, women rights workshops, women engagement in decision-making processes and political activism. In connection, SWSSO fights against violence against women through awareness of local communities to identify the problems and bring it In front of the community’s elders and government in order to solve the issues.
